It is my greatest desire to teach people with an interest in learning Chinese and knowing about China. My Chinese background, my knowledge and my prior teaching experience are big advantages for me to do a good job in meeting learners' needs. Teaching as an activity should be an interactive, informative, fruitful and fun process! Apart from language, diversified knowledge and effective teaching methods are the key. This is my belief in teaching and I am always committed to make it happen.
I am a Chinese native speaker and came to the U.S in January 2011. During my more than three years of English teaching experience in China, I have been considered to be a teacher with great enthusiasm, patience, and strong responsibility by my students and my supervisor. I have taught English learners of elementary, intermediate and advanced levels at different age groups. I also had tutored high school students English and Chinese subjects in my college years. It has always been important to get to know my students in the initial stage of teaching so as to adjust my methods to optimize the teaching and learning activity. I customize my methods to motivate learners' interest in Chinese learning. The ultimate objective is to enable students to gain what they need to know and what they want to learn, transporting students from unfamiliar to familiar, from unknown to known about the language and its culture, so that they are able to use Chinese to communicate and express their opinions.
I am looking forward to meeting my first student and let's make it an enjoyable learning experience.
