Mr. Keith C. has over 30 years experience in health related research and teaching. His experience spans academic, public health, and industrial settings.
Certified to teach both Social Studies and Mathematics by the State of New Jersey, Mr. Keith C. began his career in an inner-city high school as a mathematics teacher with additional experience as a bedside tutor for seriously ill students. Next, while pursuing graduate studies, he secured positions on the research staff and faculty of Columbia University School of Public Health specializing in Biostatics, Health Service Epidemiology, and Developmental Epidemiology. While at Columbia, he was responsible for both large scale research projects and teaching. His teaching responsibilities included the core graduate curriculum for the divisions of Epidemiology and Biostatistics with over 500 medical and public health students per year.
At a leading pharmaceutical company, Keith was responsible for the management of several areas in the Research and Development organization including Computer Services and Information and Library Services. His primary role however, was to direct the Biostatistics and Clinical Data Management Department. For the past 16 years, Keith has run his own independent consulting firm specializing in clinical research for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. He favors an inquiry-based teaching style drawing from pragmatic, real world examples, many drawn from his own extensive experience.
