Hello Prospective Students!

My name is Susie and I've been teaching since I was a High School student, 34 years ago! Since then I've taught both English and French to all ages, all nationalities, all professions and grades. I love tutoring and recently took a top New Providence senior from a C to an A in French. I'm an accomplished writer since I teach it professionally and can help a student excel at school and on the SAT's. Plus, I'm upbeat and make lessons fun--that's important. I have three kids, ages 21, 18 and 16 who take advantage of having a teacher for a mother.

Proofreading

I am an expert proofreader and copy editor. My grammar is impeccable, much to the chagrin of the 100's of children to whom I've given rides over the years! No mistakes went uncorrected in my car, and the overuse of "like" was a famous pet peeve.

I also coach appropriate tone and style and follow the 7 C's of communication.

ESL/ESOL

I am a skilled and experienced CELTA and TOEIC certified ESL instructor.

French

Although, and maybe because, I'm an American teacher of French, I'm a highly effective teacher with great passion for the language and culture. I've lived in France and travel there as often as possible. Most importantly, I bring my students where they want to be. And the journey is as much fun as the destination!
