I am a 25 year old musician living in the Bergen County area. I attended high school at the Bergen County Academies in the Academy for the Advancement of Science and Technology. This school is a magnet school that is academically highly competitive to get into. All classes were honors classes and I took 3 years of Physics, 3 years of Chemistry and 2 years of biology. I took history and literature all 4 years. I also took algebra 2 and trigonometry, 2 years of analysis and a year of calculus. In addition I took a wide variety of electives, mostly science and music electives.
I began playing guitar at age 8. In high school I performed in many ensembles including: guitar quartet, guitar and mandolin orchestra, jazz band, concert band, concert choir, percussion ensemble, pit orchestra and more. I also took AP Music Theory and Music History. In my senior year of high school I did an internship where every Wednesday I taught music to high school students as well as elementary and middle school students with emotional and behavioral issues.
I continued on to go to college for Classical Guitar Performance at SUNY Purchase. It was a fantastic conservatory and I took too many wonderful classes to mention.
Now I primarily work as a guitar teacher, teaching privately. I began teaching privately when I was 16 and since that time have had the pleasure to work with nearly 300 different students. In addition I do various freelance guitar work in recording and performing throughout the New York and New Jersey area.
