Welcome! My name is Robyn, and I have spent most, if not all, of my working life in the field of education. I have been teaching English/Language Arts/Test Prep for the last five years at the high school level focusing on reading comprehension and analytic writing.
I believe that reading comprehension skills, whether for an English course or as part of an SAT/ACT, come from practice. Therefore, I tutor in a way that teaches methods for conquering a reading that the student can then use independently. My goal is to give students the tools to analyze a reading in order to successfully communicate their ideas clearly in writing, multiple choice questions, or discussions in their classrooms. These are the skills that teachers and readers of standardized tests are looking for, therefore, these are the skills that I help students strengthen.
