I am extremely passionate about microbiology and Biology. I am currently working in a Microbiology laboratory at Rutgers University studying bioremediation; specifically degradation of ferulic acid and its effects on MTBE degradation. I have been passionate about science, animals, and biology since I was a child, and since high school I knew that studying microbiology was to be my passion. I am also passionate about writing poetry, short stories, and fiction, and believe my strong background in writing balances my lab work. I am willing to explain difficult concepts in easy-to-follow methods, and I will stress the importance of hard work and finding a studying system that works. I have strong backgrounds in mathematics, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, organic chemistry, ecology, and zoology. I hope that all potential students realize the importance of the biological sciences, specifically microbiology, in daily life.
