Michelle G. received her Bachelor of Music Performance Degree in Flute and Conducting at the University of Minnesota, where she studied flute with Immanuel Davis and conducting with Jerry Luckhardt. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Instrumental Conducting at Rutgers University, studying with Kraig Alan Williams. Ms. G. began studying flute at age five with her father, James. Her other teachers have included Leslie Short, David Gerry, and Anne Marie Dawson. Ms. G. has played in master classes for many master teachers including Keith Underwood, Bradley Garner, Tadeo Coelho, Gary Schocker, Leone Buyse, and Trudy Kane. Michelle has twice won the South Bend Symphony Young Artist Competition, including a solo performance with the symphony in March 2006. Michelle participated twice NFA National High School Flute Choir on flute, piccolo, alto flute and bass flute. She also performed with the ASTA 2008 National High School Honors Orchestra and the 2008 Indiana All State Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, Ms. G. won the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition 2008 Kenneth Geoffroy Memorial Award as a member of the Zenith Quartet.
