I am a certified teacher, available to tutor this summer and through the fall months. I am certified in elementary education, special education and as a reading specialist. I am available to tutor in all subjects at the elementary level including math, reading, writing, science, and social studies.

I received training in the Stevenson Reading Program. The Stevenson Program is an alternative approach for teaching reading, spelling and other basic language skills. Stevenson is highly effective with students who have learning problems and provides special advantages to problem-free students as well. I have been using the Stevenson Reading Program for about a year.

I also have training in the Columbia reading and writing workshops, for students needing assistance in those areas. I taught using the workshop models for the last 4 years.

I have experience with the NJ math, science and social studies curriculum from grades 1-5 as well.

I am also a strong math tutor and can tutor through middle and high school subjects.

I have flexible hours, and would be willing to work with your student either in your home or at the public library. I would be willing to set up a few tutoring sessions before the end of the school year to get to know your student as a learner if needed.
