I am a graduate student at Montclair State University. I am working on my Master degree in Anthropology and intend on working toward my Doctor after that is accomplished. At present I substitute teach in Montclair and Passaic, NJ. I am a retired Engineer, I worked for the Department of the Navy for 31 years. Also during this period I was a National Guard Officer for 38 years retiring in 2010.
I have three BAs, my first was in Vocational Education from Trenton State College, my second was in Industrial Engineering also from Trenton State University. My third is from Montclair State University where I received my BA in Anthropology with a minor in Archaeology. Graduating Magna Cum Laude! My research for my Master degree is in the Mayan culture. I will be continuing my research in Central America on excavations in Belize.
Because I have a Teaching degree and have years of Teaching experience in the Military my teaching methods very based on the situation. I do like the new textbooks on Anthropology because their supplemental programs help the student to re-enforce the concepts. I would work with the student's text and emphasis the additional programs that might be available in the textbook.
My goal is to teach in a Community College, where I can continue to work and share my love of Anthropology and Archaeology.
