I received my Master's in teaching for grades K-6. I have two years of classroom teaching experience, having taught both 1st and 3rd graders. I find small group and one-on-one experiences can make the difference in any student's success and I approach interactions with students with a culture of high expectations and goal-setting. My areas of specialty are reading, literacy, spelling, writing, phonics and comprehension. I also have experience teaching elementary-level mathematics and social studies. I believe strongly in a holistic approach to education, and I feel that it is important to promote children's academic, social and emotional success. That belief has led to my current role as a program director for an organization that creates programming around health, wellness and safety for students in k-12 and colleges/universities. I look forward to working with you and your student and making tangible, measurable growth that will lead to your child's continued achievement!
