Hi! My name is Kasie and I have 9 years experience working with elementary students. My NJ certifications include: Elementary Education, Spanish, Bilingual Education, & ESL. I am NJ certified to teach N-8 with a Spanish endorsement. My language studies have been primarily in Costa Rica and Peru. I am experienced in teaching Spanish at both the elementary and middle school level.

I am an NJ Certified Elementary Teacher in Grades N-8 (Nursery through 8th Grade). I am also NJ Certified to teach Spanish, Bilingual Education, and ESL.

Phonics

I am a NJ Certified Elementary Teacher with my standard certificate, N-8 (Nursery through 8th Grade). I have tutored students who struggle with decoding words and used the principles of phonics to teach. These principles include letter-sound relationships, how to sound out words, and common exceptions to the "rules."

Study Skills

I am a NJ Certified Elementary Teacher with my standard certificate, N-8 (Nursery through 8th Grade). Having taught 4th grade (a milestone year), I have instructed students in not only test preparation, but basic principles for really learning content. I am able to offer many strategies in identifying the important facts, as well as remembering them for the written assessment.
