Hello everyone! I am a graduate of The College of New Jersey. While there, I majored in elementary education and mathematics. Currently, I hold a standard teaching certificate in Elementary Education k-5 and a standard teaching certificate as a teacher of mathematics k-12. My teaching and tutoring experiences are vast. I student taught for two months in a fifth grade classroom at an international school in Spain. I finished the remaining two months of my student teaching back in New Jersey in a second grade classroom. Upon graduating, I worked in Piscataway as a long-term (9 months) eighth grade math teacher. Most recently, I worked in Howell as a long-term (4 months) seventh grade math teacher. During the past two years and during the summer months, I have also worked for a number of tutoring organizations, regular substituting, and some private tutoring. Throughout my experiences, I have found the private tutoring to be the most rewarding because I am able to work with a student one-on-one and can truly help him or her grasp the concept that is being taught. While I do love working in the classroom, it can be difficult to reach every student and ensure that he or she has mastered a topic before having to move on to the next lesson. With tutoring, I feel as though I can actually make a difference.
