Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Discrete Math

I have completed several undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Research at Rutgers University, including: Linear Optimization, Linear Programming, Integer Programming, Simulation, Probability Theory, Game Theory, and Boolean Functions. Most of these courses assumed knowledge of probability, statistics, and Discrete Mathematics.

In addition, I have successfully tutored Operations Research, Operations Management, Probability, and Statistics. One of my students passed a her course with a 'B' grade; a course that she failed 3 previous times.

I am very patient and was referred to manage the tutoring center at a local college. I look forward to working with you.

Linear Algebra

I have tutored and used this subject at work and in ongoing part-time graduate education for better than 5 years. It is an essential part of my graduate studies in statistics.

SAS

I have tutored and used SAS through and through graduate courses in Statistics at two major universities since 1996.
