I have earned an M.B.A. (graduating with honors) from Drexel University. I have recent experience as an Adjunct Professor of Statistics and Intermediate Algebra. I have specific experience of tutoring and preparing students (prospective teachers) to pass both the Praxis I and Praxis II math standardized test. I currently conduct SAT math preparation classes (group sessions) as well as SAT math prep on a one-to-one basis.

Biostatistics

Logic

Mathematical logic is a subfield of mathematics. This includes, but is not limited to, set theory, proofs (such as in geometry) and model theory. Much of the SAT test includes testing the students' reasoning and logic skills. Over the past 7 years, I have tutored many hundreds of students in developing these skills. I incorporate many math "tricks" and test taking techniques that I have developed through my extensive tutoring experience.

Praxis

I have recently tutored students for the math portion of Praxis I and Praxis II in elementary, middle school and high school test versions. I have techniques of breaking down concepts in very simple, easy-to-understand terms for those "math-averse" students. In one situation, I helped a student pass after failing four times prior to working with me.

Probability

I have taught Introduction to Statistics which includes Probability for two years at the community college level. Through hundreds of hours of teaching and tutoring this subject, I have developed ways of communicating these concepts in easy-to-understand methods. Concepts I am especially adept at communicating include the following: sample space (decision tree), "AND" (intersection) versus "OR" (union), Venn Diagram and conditional probability.

PSAT

I currently tutor groups of students to prepare them for taking the math portion of the SAT test. I have techniques of breaking down concepts in very simple, easy-to-understand terms for those "math-averse" students. I can translate that skill set to the preliminary SAT test (PSAT).
