I am a certified math teacher who has worked in several different school districts in NJ ranging from urban to suburban. I hold a BA in Math and an MA in Instruction and Curriculum, as well as my teaching certification in Elementary K-5, Math K-12, and supervision. I've taught basic skills math, pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2.
I am most comfortable with math, but am able to tutor in any of the elementary school subjects.

I like tutoring because being one-on-one with a student enables me to help a student more than in a classroom if that student is struggling or needs the attention.

Geometry

I love geometry. It is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I have taught it in high school.

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is the basis to all higher level maths. I am confident that with a strong knowledge of prealgebra, you will succeed in algebra, geometry and beyond.

SAT Math

As a high school teacher, I was required to teach test prep to my students. I also taught for an after school SAT program.

Adobe Photoshop

As a photographer I use Photoshop to enhance my pictures before printing them for clients.

While attending CDIA, I took several in-depth classes on Photoshop.

Adobe Lightroom

As an active photographer, I use Lightroom on a daily basis to cull, rename, order, and enhance my photos.

Photography

I have a certification of Professional Photography from the Center of Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University. I work as a freelance photographer for a wedding company as well as owning my own portrait and wedding photography business.

Praxis

I have taken the Praxis several times, including the elementary and the HS math Praxis.
