My career as a teacher in private schools has spanned 19 years. I have taught at Kushner since 2000 and previously taught for 7 years at Yeshiva University High School in Manhattan. My most prominent courses include my Advanced Placement American History and AP US Government courses. Over the course of these years, I have designed and taught many other courses, including Kushner’s Western Civilization I and II curriculum over the past 10 years. I also have experience working with special education students during my career.
In addition to the above, I am certified to teach secondary school social studies in three states (NY, NJ, and Mass.) and have successfully taught history courses that ranged from the New York State Regents exam curriculum to AP level European History, American History and US Government and Politics. Furthermore, in the last few years, my students have achieved impressive AP scores and last year in US History all 24 of 24 students received a 3 or higher with only three 3’s. In addition, eleven of my AP US Government students received a 3 or higher last year.
