I can teach or tutor any level of math from algebra 1 through university level calculus and a few even higher levels.

I will explain the ideas to you in plain language, that anyone can understand and then I will show you methods for doing the problems consistently and spell out every step clearly, with written explanations of the difficult or important steps. And I will even show you some tricks for understanding word problems (you probably think that's not possible - but it is!).

I usually relate to students and children well. I have done well with many students who are "classified" (whatever that even means). I am very patient and sensitive to student's misunderstandings. Regular students can contact me between lessons.

About me: I am a graduate student working on my master's thesis in mathematics. I have taught and tutored many math courses at high school and undergraduate university level. Before that, I had a long computer programming career.

Microsoft Excel

I was a computer programmer for many years and am now a math student. I can probably solve most of your problems with Excel. Honestly, it may take me a little bit to figure some things out (because I wasn't an Excel programmer), but I will answer all of your questions or figure out how.

Precalculus

Beware of precalculus. It is difficult even even for some students who were doing well in math. In precalculus, the student no longer mindlessly follows a set of rules, but must learn to understand the interpret questions and understand the math's meaning.

But don't panic. I can explain everything in plain language and analogies (which I make up as we go along). And I will show you how to use the knowledge to do your homework.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is all about right triangles. Yes, an entire course about right triangles! I know, that probably doesn't sound so exciting to you. But I will help you make the material easy.
