With two Bachelor's Degrees in French and Political Science, communication has always been my main focus. While living in Rome, I earned a Certification for teaching English from the Cambridge International House program which specializes in a student centered approach to the classroom. My professional experience has
been varied. Some highlights include work at the French Embassy, United Nations, and aerospace imports. I have also worked for language consulting companies, providing private tutoring.
All this experience has given me the pleasure of working with a diverse range of students. I have worked with foreign executives learning English, helped high school students with French, prepared families for trips to France and Italy, just to name some of my experiences. Now, as a homeschool educator, I've been living the life of learning. I have worked through elementary curricula - spelling, reading, writing, math, history, etc.
Experienced, patient & fun would be the best way to describe my approach to tutoring. My favorite part of teaching is the “Aha” moment when my students grasp a concept. I like to approach learning with joy by finding what works for each individual student. My tutoring sessions are fast paced and results driven. My first sessions with you will be all about determining your learning style and needs.
Having lived overseas, I understand what it means to struggle with a new language, even more so while navigating a new country and culture. Therefore, I have a big place in my heart for teaching English (as well as American culture) to people who are making their life here in the States.
I'm looking forward to helping you with your language needs!
