I have 7 years of experience tutoring many students in the subjects of mathematics and statistics for Rutgers University in New Brunswick. I also have private tutoring experience with various individuals. I have tutored all levels of mathematics and statistics.
I acquired my Bachelor's with high honors (GPA 3.72) in Mathematics and Economics as well as my Master's in Statistics (GPA 4.00) from Rutgers University. I think that anyone can learn and love mathematics when the material is delivered in a fashion that is conductive to the person's understanding. From my experience, many of the students' difficulty arises in part by having a gap between the prerequisite concepts that they know and the new concepts they are trying to grasp. As a tutor, I fill in these gaps because not only will this help them learn the new material with ease, but it will also help them build a good foundation of mathematics.
What makes mathematics different from other subjects is that it builds upon itself and so the need of a good foundation is vital. The qualities that I have as a tutor are that I'm very knowledgeable and enthusiastic with the subject matter,I can deliver it in a very simple and understanding fashion for the student, and most importantly, I'm very patient because I understand the many frustrations the student is already facing with their struggles of learning the subject matter. Give me a try and I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to working with you.
I took Biostatistics in the graduate level during my Master's program and received an A. It dealt with applying statistical methods in biology and medicine. Topics covered were Statistical analysis for cross-sectional studies and case-control studies. Applications of categorical data analysis such as Chi-Square tests, Poisson Approximation, binomial tests, and Logistic Regressions were used to analyze the risks of groups to developed a condition or disease based on whether they were on the exposed or unexposed group. 2x2 tables to compare risks of exposed vs unexposed groups were constructed to calculate point estimates and interval estimates (Confidence Intervals).
I took econometrics and advanced econometrics at Rutgers University, receiving an A in both courses. Thereafter, I have had the pleasure to tutor students at Rutgers in Econometrics. The course covered areas of statistics, applied regression analysis with techniques of linear and nonlinear regressions, and times series analysis. Statistical softwares were utilized for applications in assignments and projects.
EXCELLENT TUTOR! — At first when I started my Stats/SPSS class, I was wondering where I could find a good tutor that was knowledgeable, and would make the subject easy to comprehend. Ronald, is an excellent tutor. He would bend backwards to make sure I understood the material and used real world examples to assist in my understanding of the subject. Since my course was offered online, the sessions with him felt like ...
