Dear students and parents,
Hi my name is Nick, the listing below is my brief introduction and past experiences in tutoring:
First of all, regarding my education & career, after graduating from the best university in Taiwan - National Taiwan University with Finance degree, I came to the US subsequently receiving my fist master degree in Finance from University of Rochester. After one year working in a Bank at Wall Street as a credit analyst, now I'm enrolled in another master degree from Fordham University majoring in accounting, and I expect to receive the degree next year.
Secondly, about my language ability in Chinese, I was born in Taiwan so my mother tongue is Mandarin. In 2011, I published my first book written in Mandarin in Asia and was invited to be a resident author at Womany, which is a famous website in Taiwan. I published my second book this year and currently I'm working on my third book which is expected to be published next year. I have also won several champions in writing competition during my college in Taiwan, so I'm not only good at Chinese speaking, but also in Chinese writing.
Thirdly, about my language ability in English, I came to the US studying English when I was in elementary school, after that, I started to study English and came to different English speaking countries every summer. My TOEFL score is 108, and my GMAT is 690; I wrote several English articles on my website.
In addition, regarding my teaching method, my theme is "Study Hard and Play Hard!" I used to tutor many students in Taiwan, in the first class, I will give students the agenda and the schedule of the course (and of course, homework), then we will follow the agenda in every class until we finish the whole course. In every class, I will use traditional method like talking to students, but I will also prepare different materials in order to make students think learning is fun such as short clip of videos, interesting articles, etc.
Last but not the least, as you know, I not only good at English and Chinese, I used to be a math tutor in Taiwan and I am a business professional and a freelancer, so I am willing to give an extra minutes teaching students in the area I'm familiar with so they can learn extra stuff other than languages.
I have passion in teaching and making you or your children successful, what about you?
