Over the past year, I have tutored more than a dozen students at all academic levels (K-12 & undergrad). I enjoy watching my students learn and grow over time, as they begin to grasp new material and develop an affinity for learning. I strive to imbed a deeper understanding of most subjects than is usually covered in a standard curriculum so that any kind of problem can be tackled, both within courses and outside of them.
My areas of expertise are primarily math and science, having studied both extensively as an astrophysics major at Princeton University. I am also skilled in many other subjects, including my native language, Spanish. Over the past year, I have worked with students in various areas, ranging from algebra, calculus, chemistry, and physics to English and US History. I also specialize in standardized test prep (SAT/ACT/ISEE/GRE).
On the side, I continue to extend my own education by taking classes of interest through Coursera, Udacity, and other online learning communities. Currently, I am also in the early stages of developing a web startup. As a result, my schedule is fairly flexible and I am able to accommodate individual circumstances on a case by case basis.
