Greetings!
My name is Jeannie C!
Academically, I am a Master of Education in ESL graduate from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from William Paterson University.
Professionally, I am certified in TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) and ESL/Basic Skills Tutor. I have experience teaching English as a Second Language to non-native speaking students. I was a New Jersey Program Coordinator and tutor for 1-2-3 Academic Tutoring Service, which is a supplemental education program that provided after school tutoring in low income communities. Furthermore, I am a professional educator at a career center, teaching individuals how to develop resumes, critique resumes, and develop interview skills.
Personally, I have an interest in tutoring the following subjects: ESL, English, Reading, Literature, Essays, Writing, Basic Skills, and American History. I enjoy tutoring group sessions, no more than 4 students.
In the interest of my students, I'm deeply passionate about understanding how each student is comfortable learning and incorporating that specific way of learning within each lesson, which will improve the student's learning process. All of my lesson plans are specifically developed for each of my students. I'm a firm believer in differentiated instruction and individualized lesson plans. Additionally, learning should be fun and definitely taken seriously, which is the tone of each tutoring session.
As a tutor, it is an honor to help students achieve their goals and become educationally successful.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
Kindly,
Jeannie C., M.Ed
