Hello and thank you for viewing my tutoring profile! My name is Barbara and I have 15 years of experience tutoring students, especially those who need an alternative way to learn the material. I take what the student already knows and build on it – I find that this makes them feel comfortable and confident that they can learn the material. In the beginning, I take time to find the student’s optimal method of learning, whether it’s by the traditional route of reading the material or if he or she can learn better through auditory, visual, logical, tangible or even mathematical methods. The student will understand the material on a highly intellectual level and feel great about his or herself.
