I currently work as a basic skills teacher with students in grades K-2 and fifth grade. I work with small groups and individual students to provide them with extra support in reading and math. During my time with them, I provide many short activities to keep them engaged for the entire half hour I have them. While teaching math, I use many hands on activities and visuals to help my students understand a particular concept. I make reading as fun as possible while trying to help my students become independent readers and thinkers. I would love the extra experience working with other children by tutoring outside of school.
