I am a recent Lafayette College graduate with a BS degree in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science. I worked at a daycare for 5 years, and have volunteered at the Easton Area Community Center tutoring young children ages 4-9 for 3 years. I have been involved in philanthropy events such as Literacy Day for children from the Easton, PA area to help promote the importance of literacy for the past 3 years while at school. I received a 5 on my AP Biology exam, and have conducted independent research for 3 years during college. I have also been the teaching assistant for the Molecular Genetics course at Lafayette College. When tutoring high school students, I like to reread the chapters with them and highlight the important information while making sure they understand the concepts discussed. I am very good at motivating students and try my best to make biology interesting. I encourage studying through discussion, which I believe is the best method. If this is not suitable for the student, I am also able to try different techniques until the best one is found.
