I have a degree in psychology, over a decade of experience in corporate America, two years experience in group homes for teenagers in crisis, and a year's experience as a substitute teacher and teacher's aide. I like to think I bring a balanced and well-rounded approach to tutoring that includes not only "book learning" but valuable real world experience to emphasize the true value of education.
As I am currently pursuing a career in school counseling, psychology is my chosen specialty. However, through my work in elementary education, I have a proven rapport with younger children and am quite familiar with the current curriculum for grades K through 5.
