Hi. My name is Allan. I'm a gentle, friendly, patient and encouraging teaching professional who has many years of experience as a teacher & tutor. My most proficient areas lie in the Arts and in general elementary academic studies, with specialties in English grammar, vocabulary, writing and reading comprehension.

In the arts, I have a lifetime of experience to offer in music and art. I have written, recorded, performed, produced and independently released 3 full length albums, playing all instruments (voice, guitar, bass, drums, percussion). I have also created all artwork for these records, from concept through production. Finally, I have 20 years experience working on a Mac platform performing all phases of graphic design.

I can offer tutoring in general English language skills including grammar, reading, writing and vocabulary, beginner-intermediate Mac computer skills, beginner-intermediate guitar, recording and engineering and songwriting.

I have 10 years experience as a lead teacher of pre-K through K classes. I also have experience tutoring children general elementary subjects such as English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, history and writing.

My teaching methods are kind, gentle, compassionate and friendly which has been proven to create a supportive, productive and effective learning environment.

General Computer

I have 21 years experience working on the Mac platform. Beginning in 1990 on a Mac IIci, I learned basic Mac functions at one of my first graphic design jobs. I have also taken classes on Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop and have received certification upon their completion.
