One of the activities I enjoy the most is working with people of different cultural backgrounds. My first experience was serving as a translator for a missionary organization. Working with this organization gave me the opportunity to understand and help with the need of the missionaries in learning a foreign language. During the summer of last year, through a non-profit organization, I taught basic English to refugees from different countries, so they could develop basic communication skills in a foreign language.
When I'm teaching my students I love to interact with them asking questions about what they like and their daily routine. Knowing them helps me to focus each lesson on their own interests, daily activities or jobs. I’ve acquired the necessary patience and dedication to work with adult and children in their plight of learning English or Spanish and I’m very enthusiastic and quick to build relationships and trust with my students.
