Hi! My name is Kelly. I am currently finishing up my internship to become a teacher in Rahway, NJ with a 4th grade class. I teach everything from Everyday math to Foss science to reading and social studies. I enjoy making learning fun by trying to incorporate games and other activities. Right now I am working on a unit for the Rainforest for my class and we are going to making a rain stick. Another activity I have incorporated into the class was a mock rock lesson where I made fake rocks and students pretended to be geologists for the few weeks we worked on the unit.
I have experience teaching in the field with mostly 4th and 5th grade but also have had experience in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd. I am working on finishing my English degree through Kean as well.
I have experience substituting for classes in the school I have interned at. I have experience working with students with multiple reading and math levels as well as ELL (English Language Learners) as well as Students with Behavioral Disabilities.
