My mission as a teacher is to inspire my students to believe in themselves. I have a strong passion to motivate children by creating fun and challenging learning environment that is stimulating, comforting, and appropriate to children’s abilities. I love working and being around children. This is one of the main reasons I chose to pursue a teaching career.
I graduated from Kean University, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education (P-3) & (K-5) with a dual major in Psychology. I also hold a Certificate of Eligibility for Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I was a certified substitute teacher in the Edison and Morris School Districts. In addition, I volunteered in North Brunswick to tutor a pre-k student and two second grade students at their home after school. While attending college, I received valuable professional experience at Creative Nursery, Daycare and Kindergarten where I worked as a teacher's aide in the toddler, Pre-k, and Kindergarten classroom for about two years. Additionally, I worked during the summers at Edison Recreation as assistant camp counselor where I assisted in taking children on field trips, played sports, and arts and crafts with children ages 5- 12 years old. I worked as a full-time Preschool Inclusion Teacher at the LLC Preschool Public School and currently I am working for a HeadStart Program with the AP School District as a Preschool Teacher in New Jersey. These positions have enhanced my capabilities as a teacher.
I strongly believe the combination of my education and my diverse experience of working with children will make me an exceptional tutor.
