My tutoring methods are simple. For the first session I like to give a small assessment that encompasses Algebra I and II to see what the student may or may not know. From there we figure out a starting point, usually where your child is in school. Ideally 2 sessions a week works best, the first session would be content knowledge by hand, along with any help for upcoming quizzes and tests. The second session is calculator work if they are allowed to use them in class.
Fresh out of college with a B.A. in Mathematics. I've substitute taught at Tinton Falls Middle School and Monmouth Regional High School. My substituting jobs were almost exclusively for the Math Departments at those schools. I have also provided tutoring in the Math Lab at Rowan University.
I'm a nerd through and through. I play Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer...and sad to say I can figure out the probabilities of Drawing the card I need/Rolling what I need in my head. Also I'm a monumental Zelda fan. I love figuring out puzzles and seeing where the story goes. I am proficient in C++, JavaScript, and Java.
Also, I can solve a Rubik's Cube.
