I am an experienced educator with over 40 years of teaching at high school and college levels. In Nigeria I acquired many years of teaching, administrative and research experiences withing a span of 35 years. In the United States, as a science teacher, taught Physical Science, Geoscience, and Biology at high school level. At college level I have been teaching General and College Biology and Anatomy and Physiology to college students. My educational philosophy is to help students believe in themselves and develop positive self esteem with confidence and also to help them achieve the best in life.

Below are some of my students' attestation to my teaching:

1.Dear Professor,
I appreciate having learned Biology in your class, you are the most smartest teacher I've ever had "in life" ...... Thank you for your help. God bless you.

2.Professor,
Thank you for being one of the professors that truly care about the students and their studies. Thank you for everything.

3. To a Wonderful Professor,
I have learned a lot from your class and I promise to study harder going forward. You have laid down a strong foundation and I am grateful for having such a wonderful teacher and human being. .

Science:
Anatomy, Biology, Botany, Ecology, Physical Science, Physiology

Anatomy

I teach anatomy and physiology. Anatomy involves the study of the structure of human body parts and their relationships to one another. It has many subdivisions. Anatomy includes the study of cells (cytology), tissues (histology) and at subcellular level, the structure of biological molecules.
For medical diagnosis and scientific research, anatomy includes pathological anatomy that studies structural changes caused by diseases, and radiographic anatomy that studies internal structures as observed by X-rays images or specialized scanning procedures.

Studies in anatomy require developing skills in observation, manipulation, palpation, auscultation and mastery of anatomical terminology that help to to describe body directions, regions, planes, sections body cavities and membranes with reference to the anatomical position.

Biology

I am certified in Biology Content Knowledge Part 1, General Science Content Knowledge Parts 1 and 2, and I obtained the Certificate of Eligibility to teach Biological Sciences.

Biology encompasses subject areas that include the study of plants, animals, interaction between plant and animal communities and their physical environment, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics and Heredity.

Botany

I studied Botany at college level and at undergraduate level studied it as well. I have taught various branches of Botany at the college level, these include Principles of Taxonomy and Classification of plants, Cytology, Plant Anatomy and Physiology with great success. Botany is the scientific study of plants and plant life. This includes the origin and evolution of land plants from a fresh water green algal ancestry, Taxonomy (classification), and adaptation to land environment. Understanding Botany requires the knowledge of the major events in the evolution of plants: embryo protection, evolution of vascular tissue, evolution of seed and evolution of the flower. Various groups of plants are studied with representative examples of each group – Bryophytes (mosses, liverworts) nonvascular seedless plants, Tracheophytes (vascular plants) which include the Pteridophytes (ferns, Club moss, Horsetail etc)seedless vascular plants, and Spermatophytes (seed plants). The seed plants are the gymnosperms (cycads, conifers etc.) cone bearing plants and the angiosperms (flowering plants). Emphasis is laid on their form, structure and reproduction with the understanding of the alternation of generation in their life cycles, with decreasing in size of the gametophyte generation and increasing size of sprophyte generation, and their uses. In addition, in flowering plants, emphasis is laid on reproduction and growth, physiology (nutrition, photosynthesis, transpiration, transportation etc. Plants and human welfare is also discussed and plant diversity as a non-renewable resource. Understanding some basic terminology in Botany is necessary. These include terms such as sporophyte, gametophyte, spores, homospory, heterospory, sori, fronds, pollen grain ,pollination, pollen tube, fertilization, seed, fruit, dispersal, germination, growth, plant hormones etc. The use of dichotomous key is useful in plant classification.

Ecology

Ecology: The scope of ecology includes the study of organisms, their interaction and the interactions between them and their environment. I t requires the understanding of some basic ecological concepts such as – biotic and abiotic factors, factors affecting the distribution and abundance of organisms such as dispersal, behavior of organisms, biotic and abiotic factors, climatic factors etc. and adaptation of organisms in meeting the challenges of the environment. Ecological studies involve population ecology, community ecology, concept of ecosystem, human impact on ecosystems and biosphere and conservation of species.

Physiology

This is a subject that deals with the study of the functions of human body structures to sustain human life activities. Function of a structure depends on its anatomy, thus the principle of complementarity of structure and function. Physiology involves the description of a structure’s anatomy with an explanation of its function, with emphasis on structural characteristics that contribute to the particular function. I t is concerned with the operation of specific organ systems such as digestive system, cardiovascular system, nervous system etc. There are 11 body systems. Physiology also studies activities at molecular and cellular levels, because the body’s abilities depend on the abilities of the individual cells which in turn depends on the chemical reactions going on within them. Some chemical and physiological principles are studied to explain some physiological topics
