I am an Elementary/Early Childhood Major who has her Associates in Education from Essex County College. I am currently a student at Bloomfield College. While attending my own classes at the college, I learned that children learn better using games, self-made prompts and manipulatives. Using these materials helps the students/learners to become in engaged in what they are learning and it will help them to remember what they learned. Using more hands on rather than direct instruction allows students to really see how a subject can be broken down on their level and bringing them up to where they need to be. Through my experience in tutoring students, I have found that making the subject as simple as possible caused the student to love what he/she was learning and accept new challenges.
