I started tutoring when I was a junior in high school. My teacher announced that I had gotten a perfect score on my PSAT’s and I was flooded with requests. After I started tutoring SAT's to my classmates I started to realize that not only did I really enjoy teaching, but that I’m also really good at it. When I finished high school I had already tutored students for the SAT's, ACT's, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP English, AP Calculus and AP History. Through high school and college I continued tutoring. I went to Pennsylvania State University for Chemical Engineering with an Option in Fuels & Energy, a minor in Chemistry, a minor in Energy Engineering, and a minor in Environmental Engineering. During college I had tutored college physics up to quantum physics, college chemistry up to organic chemistry II and quantum chemistry, calculus up to advanced differential calculus (Calc 4), and a multitude of other subjects. I’m the guy that you would ask a question to five minutes before a huge exam.
Since 2010 I have been one of the highest rated professional tutors in the country. I tutor every subject taught in elementary, middle and high school, including subjects up to a graduate level. Which isn't limited to any math (calculus, trigonometry, algebra, geometry), any science (biology, physics, chemistry), and of course test preparation (SAT's, SAT II's, ACT's, GRE's, AP's, MCAT's). I also teach any English (reading, writing), history (American, World) or literature subject. I’m willing and capable to learn a specific subject for a student upon request.

I could have done a lot of different careers in my life and still can if I choose too. However, I really enjoy teaching and being able to help a student overcome a class or test. Therefore I tutor full time while building my company on the side. Nothing can compare to being able to teach, mentor, inspire and help any student gain confidence in a subject/test. I also do a lot of college counseling as well as help pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-law, and pre-business students get into Medical/Dental/Law/Business school. I love to help a student make the best possible college application, thesis, lab report, technical document, etc.
At this point I have taught and helped hundreds of students from all over the world. Some of these students were online and would work with me via Skype. It is common to have at least one student overseas or whose schedule requires some time over the computer. The age of my students range from 7 to 67 years old. I have had students with ADHD, dyslexia, lack of motivation and genuine hatred for the subject in question. I am able to understand why students struggle with a subject despite their age or background. Because I can connect with my students and because I know the material very well, I can always tell what the student does and doesn't understand. In that respect I have learned how to help my students find the answers themselves without me saying it. I believe in teaching concepts and understanding instead of just memorizing or copying down answers. Without the student realizing it, I can analyze and find out the best possible method for him or her to learn any subject. Each student is unique and I personally enjoy meeting a new person and seeing how they can best learn. My schedule changes every week but I can be very flexible, especially if a student has a last minute test or project. I schedule weekly sessions with my students as soon as I can to make sure that every student can be helped as much as possible. I put my heart and soul into every student I meet. Group sessions are common near finals, midterms and before standardized tests. The more students in the session, the less each one is charged. All rates are negotiable.
John is the best tutor I have even known. I have had many tutors over the years due to my dyslexia and he is the best. He showed me many tricks to retain my knowledge and keep calm during tests. He is by far the best tutor and I would recommend him highly to anyone.

I did need a break in between to eat, but he was very patient and didn't even charge me for it. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. TEAS is an essential test for prospective nursing students. Although most students don't seem to know about it they all have the ability to do extremely well. The test is on basic English, science, math and reading. The material doesn't have to intimidate the student, although the test is still going to seem intimidating. This is because the TEAS is also an aptitude test. It will tell the student whether or not they are heading in the direction of a nurse or if the occupation isn't suited for him or her.
