I am a Spanish teacher and have a Master's Degree in ESL and Bachelor Degree in English. I have taught all levels of Spanish and have helped native Spanish speakers prepare for the Alternative High School Assessment. I work very hard for my students to understand the language they are learning, whether it's Spanish or English, and always bring new ideas and materials into the classroom. I am confident that my students learn what I teach because they always request me as their teacher for the following year. I am friendly, outgoing, and very patient. If a student does not understand a concept the first time I explain it, I will explain it in different ways until it is understood, and always with a smile so the student won't get nervous and give up.
I have presented several workshops at the NJEA Teacher's Convention in Atlantic City and at the Foreign Language Educators of NJ Spring Conference. My students have won scholarships for essay writing in and Podcast contests. I am always learning new ways of teaching my students and work with my colleagues so they do the same.
