I learned Spanish before it was offered in school because I wanted to communicate with the new kids in my neighborhood who did not speak English. I wanted to welcome them and make them feel at home. My passion and love for the language increased with each word spoken. To understand and be understood - what gifts! I have taught adults and children. To evaluate a student's strengths and weaknesses, speaking: to be understood, listening: to understand, reading and writing skills are practiced, to enable student the student to learn and effectively do what could not be done before.
