It's very easy to feel overwhelmed when trying to learn science, it seems as though all the material is just equations and memorization that has no application in your day to day life. But the truth of the matter is that science is all around us and that by understanding some basic concepts you can wrap your head around the most difficult of problems with ease.
Through my experience designing new ways to teach undergraduates chemistry I have come to learn that often times the student is the best teacher and that the role of the tutor is to act as a guide through this process. My years as a tutor, teaching assistant, and team leader have honed my skills in helping even the most disillusioned of students gain the confidence needed to pass their classes and succeed in life.
