I am a professional environmental consultant and I also serve as adjunct science faculty for a local community college. I have taught college courses in general biology, earth science, environmental risk assessment, and natural history. I offer tutoring services because I believe that science is becoming increasingly important in our world; and that anyone can understand basic scientific principles. I enjoy teaching; and the rewards of teaching in a one-on-one setting are the best.
I believe in tailoring lessons to individual learning styles whenever possible. My goal for my classes is to make learning fun. I do not like to focus only on test preparation, but rather to help students develop critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as creativity.
