I have been an artist all my life. I started with basic charcoal pencil classes in elementary school and continued through middle school, high school where I was voted class artist my senior year further attending college level art school. I do a lot of freelance work and continue to self-educate myself. In 2011 I returned to college to obtain my teaching degree in the visual arts. I have been a counselor and mentor as well as a private art tutor for many years now. My work is diverse, and I can handle most mediums with ease. I enjoy sharing what I know and helping others discover their own creative potential.
My photography has been published in several books, and I cover many live events in NJ/NY, including the past 7 years for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. My passion for photography began in the early 1980s, and around 1999 I transitioned to digital. I currently use a PENTAX K10D along with a Macintosh, Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5 for post-processing. Printing is handled by my wide format Canon PIXMA PRO9000 printer.
Sine my childhood I have looked to the stars.I currently own 5 telescopes and with them I provide educational outreach at Star Parties across NJ and as a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts. In 2014 I became Senior Qualified Observer at my astronomy club which allows me open access to 2 of the largest telescopes on the east coast. My love of astronomy is coupled with my fascination and imagination in art and photography.
I have been using Apple products since 1979. I have worked for Apple and have been formally trained by them. I own four Mac's, iPAD, iPHONE, iPOD and NANO. All my astronomy, art and photography interests are accompanied by my MAC. I can help you understand general use, software, switching over from PC, setting up WIFI, printers, scanners, transferring photos, editing movies, making DVD's, etc.
