Hi,

My name is Rob. I am a recent graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton New Jersey with a Masters in Music. I am currently a local church musician where I help individuals of all ages learn about music, from pre-schoolers to senior adults. My program is made up almost entirely of volunteers, and it's my job to inspire them and to bring out the best in their musical abilities. In order to do that, I believe learning has to be interesting and fun, but also challenging.

Music Theory

Received a 5 (the highest score) on the AP Music Theory Exam in high school. I have taken the full sequence of Music Theory/Sight Singing courses in college and subsequently tested out of those courses in graduate school.

Ear Training

I have taken the full sequence of Sight Singing/Ear Training courses required by my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

General Music

I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees and have had the full sequence of Music Theory, History, and Applied courses as required by these degrees.

Music History

I have taken the full sequence of Music History courses (plus selected electives) required by my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Piano

I took piano lessons for 12 years in grade school, and have taken organ lessons (and majored in organ performance) for 6 years in undergraduate and graduate school.

Sight Singing

I have taken the full sequence of Sight Singing/Ear Training courses required by my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Voice (Music)

I have taken two semesters of Vocal Pedagogy, one of which included the supervised instruction of a student. I have taken four semesters of choral conducting/pedagogy, and accompanied for many vocalists. My current job requires me to teach singing techniques in the choral setting to both children and adults.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
