As a certified science teacher, who is returning to study for a Masters in Science Education, I have in-depth knowledge of best educational practices. Also, I have over ten years experience as a tutor for students from the elementary to college level in a variety of subjects including science, reading, math and test prep.

Algebra 1

Sometimes math classes get a bad reputation for being really tough. Often times, the information just needs to be explained or organized in a different way because not everyone learns in exactly the same way. As a certified teacher and a professional SAT teacher, I have had a lot of experience re-structuring information for students, especially in mathematics.

Biology

I graduated from TCNJ with a bachelor's degree in Biology and am also a certified Biology teacher. While working on my Masters in Science Education I have taken Biology specific courses such as "Teaching Life Science" and "Biology and Society."

Praxis

To become a certified teacher I have taken the following Praxis Exams: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Biology Content Knowledge, Biology Content Knowledge Part 2, General Science Content Knowledge Part 1, and General Science Content Knowledge Part 2.

I have scored highly on all of these tests. For the Reading/Writing/Math tests, I scored between 183-187 out of 190. For the science tests, I ranged between 179-183 out of 200.
