I truly believe that working with children is my passion in life. Some of my most fulfilling moments have been spent with students. It is my privilege to be teaching a child whether I am instructing a lesson, guiding a student, or simply being a good listener. I have almost seven years of experience working with children and really enjoy every minute. This includes working in the classroom in the general education class as well as with special education students. I also worked at the Sylvan Learning Center instructing children in small groups. I have been tutoring ever since I entered the classroom in 2005 and absolutely love it! I especially enjoy the one-on-one instruction because I am able to give my full attention to the child enabling me to assist them completely and reach all their needs. I get to know all of my students individually and understand that every child learns in different ways and is motivated by different factors as well. I then integrate strategies in my lessons that will assist them with achieving their best including differentiating instruction. I believe that every child is capable of learning with the right environment and a person who truly cares. All of my students recognize the extent of my passion for teaching by how much I care about each child through my enthusiasm, dedication and patience.
