Greetings!
I am a graduate of Lafayette College who holds a bachelor of science degree in Biology and will be pursuing my PhD in nutritional studies this fall. I graduated as valedictorian from my high school and earned 5s on both my AP Bio and AP Calculus exams. I was also a 3 season varsity athlete in high school and a Division 1 Varsity athlete in college, so I understand what it takes to earn high grades and balance everything else in life!
I was heavily involved in tutoring in college as part of my sorority's community service hours and have tutored high school general biology and AP biology in the past. I have also tutored college students in Bio 101/102, genetics, and evolutionary biology, but would feel comfortable working with neuroscience, anatomy, physiology, and numerous other courses.
My tutoring style varies based on what you want to get out of the experience. In general I believe in a hands-on approach to learning. I like to know what exactly you need to know, and what exactly you do and do not understand, to make the most out of each tutoring session. I truly believe that communication is the only way to truly succeed and want my students to feel comfortable asking even the most basic of questions. I pride myself in my ability to take seemingly complicated ideas and present them in manner to which anyone can relate.
If you are a high school or college student I really think I could be of help to you! I look forward to hearing from you,
Stephanie
