I have over 10 years in private and small group tutoring and public school enrichment programs. Though I taught in the public schools, I prefer the one-on-one nature of tutoring. I believe in giving my students differentiated instruction, which means I will customize how I teach in order to give a strong basis to construct knowledge. Based on that customized plan, it will equip you as a student or family with the tools you need to navigate a 21st Century learning environment for years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from NJIT, and a licensed minister.

My success stories are plenty, but I will highlight some that may appeal to your needs. Parents and students often contact me when they realize their academic process needs just the right balance of tutor/guidance counseling and are always pleased with my services.

I offer a detailed assessment process to find the right plan, just for you. The information gathered is used to regional/culturally/school district specific pedagogy for your student. My method has resulted in many raised ACT/SAT's scores and other standardized test scores. On more than one occasion I have helped with the prevention from remedial course placement/retention; consequently, I have up-to-date college counseling and admission services to coincide with the academic material my students receive during tutoring. I work heavily in the area of exposure to STEM fields and rigorous expectations of those fields for college bound students.

I am very effective with athletically/artistically inclined students and have streamlined routines for special needs students that last for years. There is no dispute that my students become self sufficient in study skills and time management planning.

I have learned that sometimes students are not in danger of failing and would like the advanced coursework for Gifted and Talented Students that I offer. I love teaching through technology, as well as the "legacy content" approaches (flashcards, outlines, etc.) My favorite assignments to assist are projects, and extra credit.

Let me first say I'm being transparent and sharing this in a spirit of care for all students.   If you are considering my services and my style of educating, I need us to be on the same page.  Sometimes families choose me after they've tried everything else and spent so much money with others it's a bit frustrating.  I don't want to be anyone's last resort.  However,... read more
