Dear Student,
My name is Joe C. I attended school for 17 years (K-12 and three different colleges). I've attended public schools and private schools (you know, the kind with a headmaster). I've had all kinds of teachers and I've taken many tests (Iowa IQ test, PSAT, SAT, AP, etc.). I received a National Merit Scholar Commendation in High School. Even though I don't go to school anymore I like to study - especially math & physics. It's important for me to keep up with my studies because I'm trying to make a splash in the field of inventing and government grant work. I'm a non-smoker and I exercise about 2 hours a day including bicycling, jogging and weights.
I'd like you to be prepared for our tutoring session with a short list of areas in which you need assistance. It would be helpful if you had your textbook(s) with you and perhaps some homework or tests you had questions about. Often the key to understanding a certain subject is correcting a misunderstanding or removing a mental block. The subjects I'm comfortable in tutoring in are the ones that I've often had problems with myself and through the years I have been able to work out most of the kinks. Most student's don't have this luxury and can benefit from someone who has.
I've taken courses in Algebra I & II, Algebra and Trigonometry, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus & Analytic Geometry, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Probability & Statistics, Vector Analysis, Electricity & Magnetism, Solid State Physics, Quantum Physics, Chemistry I & II, Materials Science, and others.
Sincerely,
Joe C.
