I have an extensive background in education and tutoring students. I have been a tutor and supervisor of several Sylvan Learning Centers and have tutored students from grade school through college. I also specialize with children who have Special Needs. I use a variety of tutoring methods to individualize the learning experience as many students learn in a variety of ways. Elementary (K-6th)

I am a licensed teacher in K-8 grade for New Jersey and K-12 for NYC. I have worked with, taught, and tutored elementary students full-time since 1992 when I started working for the NYC Department of Education. I have also tutored and been a supervisor of Sylvan Learning Centers from 1997-2002. I also tutor for a private agency with several elementary and middle school aged students.

Special Needs

I have worked with all areas of special needs students, including Asperger's, ASD, Learning Disabled, and ADD/ADHD. I have specialized training in ABA and Functional Behavioral Analysis.

Career Development

As a licensed counselor, I have worked with students who are deciding career choices. I also guest lectured for Career Counseling Courses in several New York Colleges using the book and material from What Color is Your Parachute.

College Counseling

As a licensed counselor, I have spent many years helping my juniors and seniors with making college choices, applying to colleges, and writing and editing their essays. I also did my internship for my Counseling degree working on the campus of William Paterson College and dealing with all types of issues that affect college students.

Aspergers

I have worked with ABA programs throughout NYC Department of Education, privately run ABA programs in Massachusetts. My training includes writing and implementing ABA, assessing student progress during the program, and writing up all material needed. I have worked with Autistic students since 1997.

Autism

I have worked with all levels of Autistic Spectrum Disorder during my 17 years with the NYC Department of Education. I worked on everything from ABA, writing and implementing Functional Behavior Programs, to helping Autistic students learn to read body language and how to communicate with others.

If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
