I have been living in the States for 30 years. I have a BSN degree, in nursing, both from France and the state of New Jersey. I worked in nursing for over twenty years ten of which were in the specialty of pediatrics.
For the last twelve years I have been involved in teaching the French language to children from age four and up using the symtalk method. This method involves the use of pictures, videos, and songs and in grammar school a textbook. I have also tutored both middle school and high school students from various public and private schools in the areas of Union, Somerset and Middlesex, New Jersey.
For college students who are aggressively seeking to learn French, I have been successful in teaching a four-year curriculum of French I, II, III, IV in just twelve months, this being the case for those students who wish to study aboard in France.
My experience has also enabled me to work with adult students who had no knowledge of French but needed instruction because of their employment. Also I have worked with adults who had a basic understanding of the french language and wished to perfect their abilities to speak better and or to deepen their knowledge of French history and literature.
