I am a physics teacher with 20 years of experience. I have worked in various settings in the past -- as a researcher at Columbia University, as an MCAT course developer at Stanley Kaplan, and as a teacher. I have taught everything from 7th grade general science, to physics, to astronomy, to AP physics. Physics is the kind of subject where you don't know what you really think, until you have heard what you've said. Having a physics buddy to talk over places where you struggle in the curriculum can be the difference between a slog through a frustrating course and a fun, challenging course where you feel good about your accomplishments in the end.
I am also happy to work with lower grades and look forward to working on something different from my usual -- math or elementary, say. I am the mother of three kids (one with special needs) who are working their way through the elementary curriculum and feel I have a good handle on most elementary science, math and reading.
Looking forward to helping students achieve their maximum in a fun and enjoyable way!
