I am woman recently retired from teaching English, Studying Skills, Psychology, Behavioral Management, College Prep skills, Counseling, and critical thinking in community college environments. I have tutored quite a bit over the years. My Masters is in Counseling Psychology, with a license in Guidance and Mental Health Counseling.

I love to think outside the box, because that is where most of my clients reside and enjoy a challenge! I have children and a grandchild of my own, so I am comfortable in most environments. Reasonable rates.

Special Needs

My minor in master's education was special education and special needs. I did two internships at two schools; one with students that had become brain injured, and another with a young girl with Asperger's. As a family therapist, I often had to assist parents of children with special needs to develop and i.e.p. or special education plan. Public Speaking

I taught public speaking for many years as part of the ALS (Academic Learning Success) course I taught at CSN Community College. Also, during the years I was director of Homeless shelters in Boston and Cambridge I was often asked to travel throughout the state on public speaking engagements. I also have written several articles for newspapers.

College Counseling

Beyond teaching community college, and a special ALS (Academic Learning Success) class for over five years as Adjunct Faculty, I also served as an Academic Advisor for Community College of Southern Nevada. I hold a Bachelors in Human Services Management, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology...previously licensed guidance counselor, (1 yr internship at Rindge & Latin HS in Cambridge, Ma.) and was Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts. Retired now.

ADD/ADHD

I have a Masters in Counseling Therapy and was a licensed Guidance Counselor (Grades 5-12) and a family therapist with children with various learning problems and other issues. I was adjunct faculty for several years, here in NH and most recently six years in Nevada with students all in one class with different learning abilities. Aspergers

Along with my other listed qualifications I worked most of a school year with a sixth grade girl with Asperger's. I had a Masters in Counseling Psychology, and was selected after many counselors left the position. I stayed with the student all year and was asked to attend summer camp with her. I worked closely with her psychiatrist and other members of her team; she was quite successful in the classroom environment eventually.
