Want to help your child find success with reading? I am a certified Learning/Reading Disabilities Specialist who specializes in teaching reading and writing with children from 1st through 6th grade. I have over 25 years teaching experience in Special Education, and I have developed the reputation in my District as, “The one who can teach reading to any child regardless of the disability.” I am trained to teach a number of specialized reading and writing programs such as Project Read, Wilson, Linda-Mood Bell, Orton-Gillingham and more. I specialize in a multisensory approach to teaching reading and writing that employs visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic pathways to learning.
Through assessments of your child I then can analyze and teach to the area of need and successfully open the pathway to reading and writing for your child in a fun loving way. I truly believe all children can read and have proven it by teaching children with very challenging disabilities.
I absolutely love teaching reading and your children will absolutely love to read once I help open their pathway to learning! Hillsborough, and Rockingham Counties are preferred areas and references are available upon request.

"Winners never quit and quitters never win." Vince Lombardi
My husband and I have been so pleased with our daughter's progress in reading. Our daughter Katie, who has Down syndrome, has flourished in second grade, and it is due in great part to Diane's expertise, commitment and passion for helping every student reach their full potential. Beyond word recognition, Diane ensures each student continually expands their vocabulary, deepens their comprehension, and improves their fluency. We can't thank her enough for all she has done to help our daughter be the best reader she can be.
